Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu is a voice actress and director. She is also an actor. An attractive, clever and skilled actress, she is an inspiration to Asian actors aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. In the wake of a number of first appearances on popular TV shows, she achieved fame when she joined the crew of the cult comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. The fame she gained from the show was translated into movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. After that, she delivered an excellent role in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese crime lord O Ren Ishii. In the meanwhile, she was playing the lead role in a few film that did not make the top of the charts, like Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's tiny screen role on Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. Southland's highly praised police show, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu to reestablish herself as an established actor. Liu chooses her roles with care to ensure she is not a victim of the highly competitive field. Liu has taken on her Chinese heritage however she has not let them limit her artistically.
