Amy Smart is a former American actor and model. Amy Smart, who was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. In 1996 she made her first appearance as an actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get the role she wanted in Starship Troopers. She struggled with the transition to acting because actors were never considered good actors, and they typically were given small roles. Amy had a determination to be successful and eventually she was offered bigger roles starting at The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. In 2005, she was cast as the lead in the romantic comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy got her first recognition for her efforts over the past decade. Then she continued to appear in some of the biggest movies, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she played an enduring character.
