
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her breakthrough role was in the film Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. She then appeared in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). On TV, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both series. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico and was the daughter of a Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. Through her father Sigman, she's a U.S. citizen. The brother of her and the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was formerly married to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career as a TV actress on Mexican television, before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she was cast in the lead part in the film Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. [6] The film was selected as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. however, it didn't make the final cut. [9] Sigman was nominated for a Dublin Film Critics' Circle Award in 2011 for her role in film.
