Seasons 1-8 are when shippers make bids for two shipments through uShip in a reverse auction format. The bids are typically presented with remarks about the potential risk and cost and also the motivations and abilities. The job is usually awarded to the bidder with the lowest price after the auction has ended. However, at the discretion of the client, it can be given to a bidder with a higher price who has a better feedback rating from previous clients. Feedback ratings are used to break any ties for the lowest bid. In season 9, the shippers receive their loads from the shipping broker, but bidding is not shown.Winners load their cargo and try to deliver it in good condition by the client's or receiver's deadline. Once the cargo has been delivered, customers leave feedback ratings. The show concludes with the revenue of each shipper and expenses. The amount of the bid is subtracted to calculate the total loss and profit. Sometimes, shippers offer to carry additional loads on the same journey. This extra amount is then added into the total. The shipper may not be able to finish the job due to safety concerns or the size of the load. On occasion, one shipper will enlist the services of another person to finish the job. The two shippers decide on how to divide the proceeds. The progress of each shipment is interrupted by humorous criticisms from other shippers during seasons 1-8.
